Spex•Lite® Sand Alternatives Chart
Sand has the hazard warning symbol because it contains respirable free silica, which can cause cancer in severe cases. Spex•Lite® Sand Alternatives do not carry this warning label.
Sand weighs ~100 pounds per cubic foot. Spex•Lite® saves at least 20% of the dead weight! This helps with worker safety and reducing shipping cost of finished products.
